The Lord of the Rings The Courtyard of Minas Tirith Blueprint
Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Based on sketches by legendary conceptual designer Alan Lee and brought to life by the 3Foot6 Ltd. Construction team under the guidance of production designer Grant Major, these blueprints were instrumental in transforming artistic vision into the on-screen grandeur fans know and love.
Minas Tirith, one of the film's most iconic locations, consisted of expansive sets---both interior and exterior---along with several large miniatures and extensive digital extensions and augmentations.
